From a Passion for Coffee to a Place for Community

Ember & Brew started as a simple idea: what if a coffee shop could be more than just a place to grab a quick cup? What if it could be a neighborhood anchor — somewhere you come to think, to meet, to slow down?

Founded in 2021 by Maya Torres, a specialty coffee professional with over a decade of experience across Portland's best roasteries and cafes, Ember & Brew was built on the belief that great coffee deserves a great setting.

We source single-origin beans from small farms in Ethiopia, Colombia, and Guatemala, rotating our selections weekly to keep things fresh and interesting. Our pastry chef Aisha arrives before dawn each morning to bake every croissant, scone, and roll from scratch.
